The picnic style party became popular a few years ago, and I believe the trend is here to stay! There are so many unique ways to style this type of party and it's really all about layers, unique table decor, and cool pillows that really make this table come to life! 

Start with your base layers (your foundation) and build from there! Normally I start with my rug as my base, and typically to add depth, I will layer rugs to make it feel more cozy. I then add throw blankets, faux sheepskins, and toss pillows for seating. If you have a pallet table that's great, but not mandatory. You can always use a coffee table, or ottoman to create the desired look as well.

When choosing your pillows to sit on, grab a few that look cute together, and that will be comfy to sit on. Mix and Match patterns, and textures to give your setup more depth and dimension.

I like to build my table from the middle out. I like to start by adding twinkle lighting, runners, and florals. I use these items to build my base and set the tone for what other décor and plate settings I want to use on my table.

I also will go in and add candlesticks for some added height and dimension, along with votive candles, and normally will add lanterns to the side of the tables for some extra décor

It’s all in the details- after I set my décor pieces, I pull plate settings, glassware, cutlery, and unique touches to personalize each plate setting. this is where you can get creative with your napkins, glassware, etc.

Place something special on top of each plate and add some personalized touches such as a menu, flower, piece of fruit, etc. Let your imagination run wild.

Last but not least- add food and cocktails. you can create your own charcuterie board with your favorite cheeses, meats, and fruits, or you can make your favorite dish! A bonus is creating a specialty cocktail that your guest will enjoy!

Remember, this is all about creating memories with your friends and loved ones, so add your own special touches and your guests are sure to be blown away!
